
The SCW JH games vs KWL for tonight have been postponed. They will take place on Feb 1st with the same location and times.

Both the boys and girls basketball teams will be in action at Sanborn Central starting with the girls JV at 4:00. The boys JV will happen at 5, and the girls V(6:15) and boys V will close out the night at 7:45. The pep band will be there to entertain you and band students are asked to arrive between 5:30 and 6:00.
Come hungry, the scholarship foundation is here to feed you for a free will donation. The menu will consist of Baked Potato bar with all the fixings.


Welcome back! It's second semester at Sanborn Central and we are ready to go full steam ahead to complete the 2023-2024 school year. Today report cards go home.

Congratulations to our Environmental Science students (Bryce Larson, Payton Uecker, Caleb Kneen, Evan Easton, Randy Bitterman, Kaleb Hohn, Erick Melendez, and Attley Tarbox) for qualifying as State Finalists for Samsung's Solve for Tomorrow Contest! They were tasked with creating a sustainable solution to a problem in their community, and together they decided to use photoelectric sensors to aid in early detection of combine/harvest equipment fires. As State Finalists, they have won $2,500 in Samsung technology for our school and will continue to develop their plan for a chance to become State Winners and win $12,000 in Samsung technology for our school!

This weeks Cooper Goldammer and Caleb Kneen showed their talents at the Kimball Invite. Cooper went 2-2 on Saturday at the kimball tournament and got 4th place, Caleb went 1-2 on the day.
Aubrey Moody got second in her weight class this weekend at a power lifting competition in Salem.
Isabella Bitterman scored an "Excellent" at State Oral Interp. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Weston White who received 1st place in the Patriot's Pen contest. Kelly Wilson's efforts paid off as she took home second, followed by Ledoux Bracha in third. Hudson Fouberg was the "Voice of Democracy" winner.
They have been invited to the VFW's December 12th meeting at 7:25pm to be presented with their awards.

A huge shout out to the two students representing Sanborn Central. Isabella Bitterman will strut her stuff for state Oral Interp. in Harrisburg on Saturday with a 9AM performance. Bryce Larson will be headed to Rapid City for FFA LDE's for Prepared Public Participation on Monday. May you both be victorious!

The High School Student Council is accepting donations for the Sanborn Co. Food Pantry in the form of paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, laundry, detergent etc. Please drop off at the school from December 4th-15th.

In observance of Thanksgiving Sanborn Central will not be in session on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday this week.
