In anticipation of a severe weather occurrence, Sanborn Central is planning on utilizing remote learning as opposed to making up days. It is our hope that we do not have to hold school in this fashion, but preparations are necessary to make this possible, if needed. If this plan is set in motion, the notification sent out informing the public that we will not be in school shall include the notice of remote learning with it. It is our hope that the students are able to connect with the teachers (where appropriate) to complete the assigned work. Students will be required to “check in” with their teachers for attendance and instruction. This is required, not just by us as a district, but by the State as well (the requirements for counting this as a school day). If we begin the day at school on Wednesday, February 21 and let out early, we will not remote learn for the remainder of that day. Only full days will be completed as remote learning. For the student grade levels that are using Zoom and Google Classroom: If you do not have internet at home or access to it, it is understood that you are not excused from the work, but will be give hard copies of the assignments where possible ahead of time. This needs to be communicated to the staff members so they can prepare what may be needed.
